Dr. Rosy Ge

Described by many as a pianist with enormous potential, Dr. Ge has won numerous prizes and scholarships both locally and internationally. Rosy is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians. Her students were accepted into top music programs and schools and many have won local and international competitions. Besides having a private studio, Dr. Ge has given lectures and masterclasses extensively in China, Canada, and the United States. She is an editor for the United States Music Certificate Examination (USMCE) piano repertoire and the Canada Division Director of the IPPA Conero International Piano Competition . Full bio

Ms. Yuanyuan Sha is an accomplished pianist and educator. She was accepted at a young age to the Shenyang Conservatory and completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at China Conservatory. Ms. Sha received many awards while in school and won top prizes at numerous competitions. She is also an avid chamber musician and frequently plays in concerts. Besides her own performance career, she loves passing her passion for music and piano to her students. Ms. Sha is a patient and responsible teacher. She was the top instuctor at Bao Hui Qiao Piano School in Beijing for over a decade and continues to mentor students after immigrating to Canada. She focuses on technique, as well as inspiring musicality and imagination in students. Many of her students received top marks in various piano exams and gone on to compete in local and international competitions with stellar results.

Rena Lu

Ms. Rena Lu started playing piano at the age of 5 and obtained her RCM Diploma before she went to university. She received her Music Honours degree and Bachelor of Arts in Art History, with a History minor from McMaster University. Ms. Lu also obtained a group music certificate from YAMAHA music school, as well as finished a teaching practicum certificate from YCDSB. Her main area of focus is music history and music theory, in conjunction with piano performance and conducting. Rena has more than 18 years of music teaching experience since high school years. With her passion of music theory teaching and the care for her students, Ms. Lu always provide her students a positive learning environment to encourage students to do
their best. She is also able to demonstrate and encourage high standards of professionalism from
all students and having a capability to support aspiring young musicians with her music expertise. Her main mission is to create in students the love for music alongside achieving their
music goal.

Andrew Hsu
Violin

Andrew studied in the School of Music of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,
and graduated with Bachelor of Music (with High Honors) and Master of Music degrees in violin performance. He studied violin performance under Prof. Sherban Lupu, and
chamber music under members of the Pacifica Quartet. After graduation, Andrew joined Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the training orchestra of Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He was also selected in Civic Orchestra as a member of MusiCorps program, in which he performed with fellow Civic members in various elementary schools, high schools and parks in Chicago, and introducing different string instruments and explaining their performing methods to the students and audience. Andrew went back to his hometown Hong Kong and
taught violin in various secondary and primary schools, and in the Music Office. He
also performed in several orchestras including the Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra, the Hong Kong Strings, and the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. Andrew relocated
to Canada in August 2022 and is now excited to continue his music career here.

Dr. Mei Lee

Soprano Mei Lee is a performing artist, voice teacher, and music educator with a vision. A creative and versatile performer in operas, oratorios, concerts and recitals, Ms. Lee has performed in Canada and abroad with the Canadian Opera Company and Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra among others. In addition to her performing career, Mei is equally active in studio as a voice teacher. Under her guidance, many of her students have been accepted into prestigious vocal programs, and enjoyed great successes in local and international competitions. Mei is also one of the leading authorities in the integration of musical performance and pedagogy with Alexander Technique. Full bio

An avid solo recitalist and chamber musician, Chinese pianist Teng Fu began his musical journey at the age of six. Mr. Fu has participated and won many national and international competitions. Aside from his performance career, Teng Fu is also invested in passing down his musical knowledge to others. He taught private piano lessons to elite/ high-profile clients in New York City and gave numerous lecture recitals both in and out of the United States. Dr. Yuta Sugano, Japan/USA

Born in Kyoto, Japan, Yuta Sugano started playing the piano at the age of five. He made his debut as a soloist with the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra when he was eleven. After being awarded numerous prizes in various competitions in Japan, Yuta moved to the United States to further his studies. He has appeared as a soloist and chamber collaborator in numerous countries such as Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, United States, and others. Yuta has served as the soloist and speaker every summer since 2009 at the C. F. Theodore Steinway Technical Academy held at the Oberlin Conservatory. His CD recording “Romanticism in 1828” has been published by Rose Planet label in Japan, and has been reviewed favorably by several media outlets. Full bio

Willow Shi

Willow Shi is an accomplished music specialist with a Master's degree in piano, a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with a minor in vocal performance, as well as a portfolio of varied accomplishments such as performances and collaborations with top musicians all over the world. With more than 10 years of teaching experience, she works with students of all levels and ages. Willow is a very responsible, supportive, and loving teacher who teaches from the heart with empathy and patience, and who is loved by her students. She is also an expert in group lessons. They have been very popular and in high demand.

Catherine Tan

Catherine Tan is a music enthusiast who shares her passion for the arts through performing and teaching. She currently studies at the University of Toronto specializing in Music Education and minoring in psychology. She is well-rehearsed in a variety of musical styles including classical, jazz, pop and musical theatre. She actively performs in the GTA utilizing music as a tool to heal and inspire those in her community. In addition to being a performer, Catherine is also passionate about teaching. Besides her private studio, she directed musicals, led songwriting workshops and was the co-director of the TCDSB Honour Band. She is very approachable and excited to work with students to help them achieve their music goals.

Dr. Alexander Sokol

Pianist Alexander Sokol immigrated to Canada in 2005 and immediately joined the Canadian musical scene. Born in Kharkov, Ukraine, he became a laureate at the All-Russia Piano Competition and went on to win two prestigious international competitions in Italy - the Carlo Soliva Piano competition and Rina Sana Gallo Piano Competition, resulting in critically acclaimed European concert tours.
Prior to his immigration to Canada, Alexander held the position of Associate Professor at Israel's prestigious Rubin Music Academy in Tel-Aviv. As well, he has given solo and chamber music performances throughout Israel and Europe.

Emily Yoon

Emily is a Toronto based musician that graduated with her Bachelor of Music, specializing in music education and therapy. Emily is an ambitious teacher and currently teaches piano lessons to students of all ages. In her 25 years of teaching experience, her students have demonstrated outstanding performance achieving excelling scores in RCM examinations and participating in a variety of music contests. Emily is dedicated to helping children reach their full musical potential. Being a diligent educator is important to her, firmly believing music enables students to build a solid foundation for lifelong learning; to achieve the best of their musical abilities while attaining a deep understanding and appreciation of music.

Yuen Ying Ng

A native of Hong Kong, Yuen Ying (Jess) Ng began her violin studies at the age of seven. Yuen Ying received her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from University of Toronto, where she studied with JUNO winner Annalee Patipatanakoon. Throughout her studies, she had received chamber coaching by the Gryphon Trio and worked with the members of the Calidore Quartet. Yuen Ying has performed with various orchestras, including the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Ontario Pop Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has also attended several festivals and toured Yekaterinburg, Russia with the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra. Yuen Ying has a great passion in teaching as well. She is a patient and responsible teacher who cares greatly about building a firm technical foundation and nurturing the love of music in all students.

A native of Curitiba, Brazil, but raised in the panhandle of northern Idaho, Brazilian-American Pianist, Dr. Rachel Alves Pereira, brings a unique perspective to her performances. With over fifteen years of teaching experience, Dr. Pereira has given numerous masterclasses and lectures throughout the United States. Her students have won top prizes at regional and state competitions. She is also an avid collaborator and solo performer and has performed extensively with vocalists and instrumentalists in recital. Dr. Regina Tanujaya, Indonesia/USA

Regina Tanujaya is a Chinese-Indonesian pianist, collaborator, and educator. Ms. Tanujaya is rapidly distinguishing herself amongst her peers as a pianist of growing accomplishments. She is the winner of both national and international competitions including the IBLA International Competition. She actively participates in summer music festivals leading to performances around the world. In summer 2019, she had a tour concert in six different cities in Czech Republic, including Prague. She was featured in several music magazines and TV broadcasting in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
